Korakrit Arunanondchai har designet et kunstverk i form av et munnbind som man kan ha på seg, eksklusivt i anledning hans utstilling Songs for dying på Kunsthall Trondheim. Den vaskbare ansiktsmasken består av 3 lag pluss innsettbare og utbyttbare filtre som møter sikkerhetskravene for covid-19 munnbind. Tittelen på dette anvendbare kunstverket, If we burn, you burn with us, referer til de pågående studentdemonstrasjonene i Thailand og demonstrantenes bruk av popkulturelle symboler som filmtriologien The Hunger Games. Motivet inneholder elementer som er karakteristiske for kunstnernes arbeider, inkludert flammer, denim og en gul fugl. Edisjonen er også tilgjengelig for salg i Kunsthall Trondheims butikk.

Korakrit Arunanondchai has designed a wearable artwork in the form of a face mask exclusively on the occasion of his exhibition Songs for dying at Kunsthall Trondheim. The washable mask consists of 3 layers plus insertable and exchangeable filters and meets the safety standards for covid-19 face covers. The title of this wearable artwork, “If we burn, you burn with us”, refers to the ongoing student demonstrations in Thailand and the protesters’ use of symbols from popular culture such as the movie trilogy “The Hunger Games”. The pattern features elements that are characteristic for Arunanondchai’s work, including flames, denim and a yellow bird. The edition is also available for purchase at Kunsthall Trondheim.
